Retriever Training starts with a strong basic understanding of obedience commands (SIT, HEEL, HERE). After those commands are understood we go into retrieving. We will go into HOLD CONDITIONING. Once the HOLD is solid we will move into the basic retrieving skills. Starting with simple marks, and being steady near gunfire. We will also start into blinds (less than 100 yards) with handling. All dog's progress and success varies greatly on the dog's drive and recovery. All clients should expect 4 months of training to have a started gundog.
